Privacy Policy
This notice explains how S Chauffeur uses personal information when you contact us, request a quote, or arrange a journey.
Who is responsible for your information?
The data controller is Schauffeur, the private limited company operating under the S Chauffeur name (“we”, “us” or “our”). Registered office: 1 Regent Ct, Bagshot, GU19 5QD. Contact us about this notice or your information at Admin@schauffeur.co.uk or call/WhatsApp our main contact number, +44 7783 536435. You can also use our Contact page.
Information we collect
Depending on your enquiry or journey, we may collect your name and contact details; collection and destination addresses; journey date and time; passenger, luggage and accessibility requirements; flight, terminal and meeting details; booking and payment status; and messages you send us. Our website and service providers may also process technical information needed to run and secure the site, such as device, browser, IP address and session information.
How we use information
- To answer enquiries, prepare quotes and take steps you request before a booking.
- To confirm, arrange and manage a journey, contact you about it, and provide customer support.
- To meet legal and licensing obligations, maintain appropriate business records and respond to lawful requests.
- To protect our website and booking service, prevent misuse, and resolve disputes or claims.
We use information where needed to take steps at your request or perform a booking, to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests in operating and protecting our service where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Sharing information to fulfil a booking
We share only the information relevant to the job. To arrange or fulfil a journey, this may include your contact and journey details with the TfL-licensed private hire operator and driver assigned to your booking. Where a job is exchanged with another relevant licensed operator, we pass only the details that operator and its assigned driver need to accept, coordinate and carry out the journey. The operator may also have its own legal and licensing responsibilities for booking records. We may use service providers for website hosting, booking and dispatch, communications, payment processing and technical support; they receive information only as needed to provide their service. We do not sell your personal information or share it for unrelated marketing.
Payments
Online payments are handled by the payment provider presented at checkout. We receive payment status and transaction details needed to administer your booking; full card details are handled by the payment provider and should not be sent to us by email or WhatsApp.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry and journey information for as long as needed to respond to you, arrange and manage the journey, handle follow-up, and meet applicable legal, accounting and licensing record requirements. We may retain relevant records longer where needed to resolve a complaint, dispute or legal claim. Technical and security records are kept only for the period needed for security and troubleshooting. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove identifying details.
Cookies
Our website may use essential cookies or similar technologies to keep the site secure and support basic functions such as booking sessions, the shopping cart and checkout. These are used because the requested service needs them. If we add analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies, we will ask for consent where required before they are set. You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may prevent booking or checkout from working.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for a copy of your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer, or object to certain processing. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions. Contact us using the details above to make a request.
Complaints
Please contact us first and we will try to resolve your concern. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
